The Eight-Game Mix has returned to Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood for the first time since 2015, and it attracted 90 entries to create a total prizepool worth $87,300.

Day 1 played down to the final table, and they returned at 12:00 noon on Tuesday to play down to a winner. There were two players at the final table who had a shot to tie the career record for SHR trophies, but they both fell short, with John Holley busting in seventh place and Yuval Bronshtein following him out in fourth place.

The two players who started the final table with the biggest stacks outlasted the others, though Brian Yoon had a sizable lead over Jon Breneman when heads-up play began.

But Breneman put up a good fight, and after nearly two hours of heads-up play, Breneman won $26,620 and his second trophy of the series. (Breneman also won Event #24 for $12,000; click here for details.)

“It feels good,” said Breneman. “This is my first time to Florida, and I’m really glad I came down.”

Breneman came to this series specifically for the mixed games.

“I love all mixed games,” said Breneman. “Eight-game is a great mix, and it really brings out the all-around players.”

“I’m glad to see mix finally coming out on the East Coast,” said Breneman. “Generally we always go west, because that’s where all the mix is, but now we can start coming east and start playing over here.”

Now that he’s won two trophies here, what does Breneman think of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood?

“The dealers did a great job, and the venue’s pretty great,” said Breneman. “I’ll be back.”
