Flight D of RRPO Event 1 gets underway at 5 pm and the fourth of eight flights for the $400 Deep Stack. Halfway done with a huge weekend coming up as they chase the $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players start with 20K deep stacks and Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, increasing to 40 at the start of Day 2 and 60 minutes with Level 24. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 9:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as needed.

They will continue until only 10% of the field remains and survivors will return on Sunday at 1 pm for Day 2.

We have some added value in this tournament in the form of Club WPT Gold Passports. One will be awarded to the Day 2 returning chip leader and the nine players at the final table. The passport is good for an entry into their $5 Million Freeroll, which takes place at Wynn Las Vegas on Dec 13-15, 2024.

There’s a long way to go, with only 67 of the 207 remaining booking a spot on Day 2, but she is in a good position for a deep run.

Chip Counts Through Flight B

Event 1 Flight C: Tal Avivi Leads

$400 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$2,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 9:  500/1,000 with a 1,000 ante
Flight C Entries:  665

Tal Avivi

Cards are back in the air after the second break and we have a new leader. Tal Avivi, the 2023 Showdown Mixed PLO champ and two-time WSOPC ring winner, is the new frontrunner in the room and his 204,000 stack is the only one over 200K so far.

That will be the chip average returning for Day 2.

Event 1 Flight C: More Friends

Level 7:  300/600 with a 600 ante
Flight C Entries:  554

James Carroll

The entry count quickly jumped over 500 after the first break and they are chasing down 600 before registration closes at 2:30 pm. A great base to build the weekend upon.

Some new friends we found include 2019 WPT Showdown champ James Carroll, Tampa SPS champ James “Ping” Kerr, Solange Lucas, Wagner Wysotchanski, Anna Antimony, Eric Siegel, Zoltan Czinkota, Brandon Miller, and Howard Mash.

Level 5:  200/400 with a 400 ante
Flight C Entries:  462

John Aycock

A walk among the tables during the first break did not yield anyone running away over the first four levels. Yesterday, we had a few sneaking up on 200K, but this time around, everyone must be a little more conservative because John Aycock held the biggest stack we could find with 96,200.

Action looks to pick up with only two more hours left to late reg or re-enter this flight.

Flight C players are scheduled to take their first break at the end of this level and the field topped 400 entries well before they hit that point. We’re going to post bigger numbers than yesterday, and we’re seeing the spin-up as we near the weekend.

A few more friends in the field include Marshall Morris, Cuban Levenberry, Ido Ashkenazi, Rafael Lima, Thomas Gari, Scott Zakheim, and all-time Hollywood wins leader Raminder Singh.
