2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Event 36 Champion Neal Corcoran

Event 36 of the 2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was a $1,100 Limit Omaha 8 (Re-Entry). A field of 45 entries generated a prize pool of $43,425 and winning the lion’s share of it was Neal Corcoran, taking it down outright for $16,915.

This marked Corcoran’s third SHRP major series trophy victory, having previously won a $150 No-Limit Hold’em event during the 2019 Showdown and a $1,100 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em at the 2021 SHRPO.

Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler during the 2024 Showdown

Neal Corcoran raised to 20,000 from under the gun, Allen Kessler three-bet to 30,000 in the hijack, Gary Vick called in the big blind, and Corcoran called.

Kessler committed his remaining 3,000 on the the AdAh7s flop and side action continued between Vick and Corcoran as the Jc turn and 9s river completed the board.

Corcoran isolated the action and tabled AsJd5d3s for aces full of jacks, besting Kessler’s Ac5c4h2d to eliminate Kessler in sixth place.
