The second of three flights for May Deep Stack Poker Series Event 1 starts at 11 am and the $400 buy-in tournament will be aiming for its $100,000 guarantee. Only 154 more entries are needed today to top the mark with a huge Saturday session tomorrow.

Players sit with 30K in their stacks and all Day 1 level last 40 minutes, increasing to 60 on Day 2 and 90 minutes in Level 27. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Day 2 on Sunday at 11 am.

Play will continue through Level 14 and survivors will bag their chips for a Sunday return.

We’ve reached the last level of the evening with three tables in play and they are trying to spin up a stack for Day 2 on Sunday.

Level 11 is running its course and players are about ready to take their final break of Flight A. They’ll step away for 15 minutes and return to play out the last three levels.

Table 14 is having a great time this evening, non-stop chatter and even some poker. The table has TJ Shulman, Matthew Zarcadoolas, Sean Shah, and Luis Dominguez but Steve Buckner is the driving force in the good times.

The chips get in the middle often and it’s never dull. First, “Cuz” knocked a player out when his ace-five made a wheel on the river against ace-queen, and then he got the table loud soon after.

Shulman was all in and risk against Buckner but it looked like a chop was coming. Buckner had the bigger stack with and Shulman was holding .

Both were freerolling backdoor flush draws after the flop but Shulman had a shot when the turn came . The table erupted, as it’s apt to do with this fun gang, but it was a chopped pot after all when the dealer put out the river.
