Nadya Magnus
2025 Seminole Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open Event 13 Champion Nadya Magnus

Nadya Magnus has had some great success at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, with more than $900,000 in career tournament earnings here.

But it wasn’t until Saturday night that Magnus won her first trophy. The final three players agreed to an ICM deal to end the tournament, and as chipleader, Magnus was awarded the title and the trophy.

“It feels like getting a monkey off my back,” said Magnus. “I did win a guitar in the poker room this year, in no-limit. But I never won an actual trophy.”

“I was definitely playing for first,” said Magnus. “I just want the trophy. And I got it. I’m happy. I’m really, really happy.”

While 2025 has been a downswing for her, Magnus did start the day off on an unexpected positive note.

“I’m handing my car over to the valet guy,” said Magnus. “And he says, ‘You know what? I feel something really, really big happening for you today.’ I’m like, ‘really?’ He says, ‘Yeah, I can just feel it. It’s going to be today.’

“I’m sure I’m going to see him again,” said Magnus. “And I’ll tip him well, because that was a great prediction.”

Magnus is a regular here at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, and she considers it to be her home casino.

“This place is awesome,” said Magnus. “The dealers, the floor staff, the atmosphere. Heck, even the music. This is my home turf, and to be honest, it’s my favorite place.”

Magnus ended her post-game interview with a suggestion for no-limit hold’em players everywhere.

“Guys, play mixed games. They’re so much fun!”
