There was 11,700 in the pot, with the board reading when Mike Meskin got all in for 12,300 from the big blind, and Sam Ganzfried called to cover him after tanking for a few moments.

Meskin flipped over , and that put him ahead of the held by Ganzfried. The river didn’t change anything when the hit the table, and Meskin secured the double to stack up 36,300.

The series headliner hits the Grand Ballroom stage when Flight A of the SHRPO Championship starts at 11 am. The $5,300 buy-in tournament has a huge $3,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and two starting flights.

Championship players start with 50,000 in their stacks and all levels last 60 minutes, increasing to 90 when 24 players remain. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 9:15 pm and players are limited to a single re-entry per day.

Flight A will play ten full levels and survivors will return on Sunday at noon for Day 2.
