With two nearly simultaneous eliminations, the Money Bubble burst for Flight A before hand-for-hand play could even begin.

Action ended with 14:24 remaining in Level 15, with blinds at 2,000-4,000 and a 4,000 ante. Day 2 will begin with blinds at the same point as the starting flight that finished the earliest.

The 60 surviving players have bagged up their chips for Day 2, and the big stack belongs to John David Howe, who finished with 472,000 (118 big blinds).

Flight B of Showdown Event 1 starts at 5 pm in the Grand Ballroom and will build on the great start in the early flight. The $400 buy-in Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em tournament has a healthy $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and eight starting flights for you to find a bag.

Players sit down with 20K in their stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, going up to 40 on Day 2 and 60 minutes in Level 24. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 9:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as they wish during that time.

Play will continue until only 12.5% of the field remains and those with chips will come back for Day 2 on Sunday at 1 pm.
