Ira Friedman

Dan Heimiller limped in from the hijack, Howard Mash raised to 30,000 from the button, Ira Friedman reraised all in for 54,000 in the big blind, Heimiller folded, and Mash called with AcKc.

Friedman showed JhJd and needed his hand to hold up to survive.

The flop came As5s4c, giving Mash a pair of aces to take the lead.

The turn was the Jc, giving Friedman a set of jacks to pull ahead. Mash picked a flush draw, though.

The river was the 6d, safe for Friedman to double up.

Ira Friedman  –  128,000  (16 bb)
Howard Mash  –  206,000  (26 bb)

With 12 players remaining from the field of 88 entries, the average stack is about 220,000 (28 big blinds). The field is on the money bubble.

Randolph Pisane raised to 18,000 from the small blind and Fred Goldberg in the big blind said, “Alright, let’s go,” as he put in about 165,000.

Pisane tossed in a chip and showed 9s9h and Goldberg, who had made his reraise in the dark, turned over 8h4c. Pisane, however, was not all in and since both players turned up their cards early, the hand was just going to play face up.

The flop was AdQcTs, Pisane bet his remaining 20,000-ish, and Goldberg mulled it over for a bit before he folded.

Randolph Pisane  –  338,000  (56 bb)
Fred Goldberg  –  150,000  (25 bb)

With 12 players remaining from the field of 88 entries, the average stack is about 220,000 (37 big blinds). The field is on the money bubble.
