Cards are in the air for the final flight of the Deep Stack Poker Series opening event. The $400 buy-in tournament already crushed its $100,000 guarantee and it will double before too long this afternoon.

Players start with 30K in their stacks and all Day 1 levels last 40 minutes, increasing to 60 at the start of Day 2 and 90 in Level 27. Late registration and re-entries are available until the start of Day 2 on Sunday at 11 am.

Flight C will play through 14 levels and survivors will bag their chips for their return tomorrow.

The night is winding down, and some players are moving up the counts while others hit the rail. When Perla Ojeda returned from dinner with 25K, she could have given up and joined them.

But she battled back and, with an hour left in the day, sits with 172,000 for an above-average stack. Ojeda has had several close calls here, including finishing 14th out of 3,902 in the 2021 Poker Showdown opening event, and she is looking for her first Hollywood title.

David Oshry has been near or at the top of the counts most of the day and swapped places with Thomas Gari after dinner. Oshry now leads with 269,000 followed by Gari with 252,000. They all have a long way to go to catch overall leader Steven Wiggers who bagged 618,000 in Flight A.
