Championship Day 2: Falling Fast

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 14: 1,200/2,400/400 Ante

Players are dropping quickly even with the slow structure. The numbers dropped until 400 and nearing 300 with 30 minutes remaining in the level.

Christina Lindley, Vinny Pahuja, Jake Bazeley, Mike Beasley, Ebony Kenney, Jessica Dawley, and Justin Zaki are just a few of those gone this level.

Championship Day 2: Waxman Rivered

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 15: 1,500/3,000/500 Ante

Matt Waxman will have to wait until the summer to add another Seminole Hard Rock Poker title to his résumé. The WSOP and WPT champion won the 2013 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N Roll Poker Open” but he is out today short of the bubble.

Waxman led the action until he was all-in with the board reading 9s8s8h3dKc. His opponent called Waxman’s bets with KsJs and caught the river to send Waxman out.

Championship Day 2: Level Up as Eyster Surges

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 14: 1,200/2,400/400 Ante

Kevin Eyster has been hovering around the top of the counts over the first 13 levels but he is now taking his turn on top. He stormed ahead after knocking out Joey Weisman and became the first player over 500,000.

Eyster won this very event back in 2013 against a final table lineup which included Faraz Jaka, Jeff Madsen, and Zo Karim.

The levels inched up once more and they are one hour away from another break.

Championship Day 2: Back from Break

Championship Day 2: Lucky Hearts in Action

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 12: 800/1,600/200 Ante

We have two members of the 2015 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship final table in action today and both are doing well so far.

Kelly Minkin had a chance in February to become the first female WPT champion, coming up just a little short but had a great run to finish in 3rd spot. She began today with 73,300 but has moved over 100,000 after knocking out Domenico Maurici with AcKd over 5d5s.

Brian Altman (pictured below) finished as the champion on that day in February and his fortunes are positive today as well. He dropped a little bit early but has since regained momentum to add more chips to his returning 170,000 stack.

Championship Day 2: Next Level

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 12: 800/1,600/200 Ante

The levels took another step up with 513 players remaining. Jean Gaspard and Isaac Baron were among the recently departed but Seminole Hard Rock Poker regular Zach Kessler started his day off well.

Championship Day 2: Chainsaw Cut Down

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 11: 600/1,200/200 Ante

We caught the action after the Qd8d3s flop and Allen Kessler all-in for his stack with AcKs against Marc Goldman’s 5c5d. He flashed his AK phone case to the WPT cameras before the board finished 6c3c to send “The Chainsaw” out of the Championship.

Kessler wasn’t alone as Tristan Wade and Scott Efron were a few to join him on the rail.
