Event 18: Bradley Young Eliminated In 4th Place ($9,264)

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 18:  Blinds 2,500/5,000/500 ante

After the two crippling hands, Bradley Young was the first of the two super-short stacks to say goodbye.

Young pushed his meager stack in against Prasetyo and Peduto and awaited his fate.

After a Jd4cTsTc8h board ran out, Peduto turned over Ad9s and with Young holding Qc6h and Prasetyo mucking, Young’s night was over in 4th place.  Young hits his third final table of the series and leaves with $9,264 plus bounties.

Event 18: Peduto Loves The Ladies, Prasetyo Hits Aces

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 18:  Blinds 2,500/5,000/500 ante

Last night, Patrick Peduto hit a queen on the river to stay alive.  Lady Luck came back again against James Caleraro.  Both players chips ended up in the middle pre-flop and Peduto was behind.

Caleraro: AdAs
Peduto: QhQd

Peduto didn’t like what he saw when the cards were turned over but he did like the Qs7c4c flop. Caleraro got no help and shipped 363,500 chips to Peduto.

Just two hands later, Bradley Young’s fortunes also turned on a dime. Young’s chips ended up in the middle when a king hit the flop. Prasetyo turned over aces and Young’s K-Q was not good enough leaving him crippled as well.

So in a matter of a few hands, the leaders were down to next to nothing and this tournament has flipped upside-down in a hurry.

Event 18: To Flop Or Not To Flop

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 17:  Blinds 2,000/4,000/500 ante

Bradley Young and James Calderaro continue to duke it out with Aditya Prasetyo and Patrick Peduto slowing losing ground.  But what’s been most interesting is the the players’ attempt to create a new game along the way.

Given Bradley Young’s apparent aversion to seeing flops, he and Calderaro have tried to get “No Flop” Poker added to the schedule next year.  They couldn’t quite figure out how many cards or if none should come out and they just bet away.

Of course, they could call it a night and head to the blackjack tables.  That might just do the trick.

Event 18: Players On Break, Chip Counts

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 16:  Blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante

Event 18 has reached its next break with Bradley Young trying to win his second title in this series.  Young, who already won Event 10, holds a slim chip lead with four players remaining.

Chip Counts:
Bradley Young – 432,000
James Calderaro – 422,500
Aditya Prasetyo – 220,000
Patrick Peduto – 217,500

Blinds move to 1,500/3000/500 ante next level.

Event 18: Aaron Massey Eliminated In 5th Place ($6,766)

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 16:  Blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante

Calderaro set him up and Bradley Young knocked him down.

Aaron Massey, who found himself on the short-stack, went over the top of Bradley Young for his tournament life and run into the bad news:

Massey: 8d8s
Young: QsQh

With Massey in major trouble, Young got a great flop of Ks7sAd leaving Massey looking for an 8. It was not to be with the 2cTs running out and in two hands Massey found himself packing up and headed to the payout cage in 5th place. Massey wins $6.766 and his collected bounties.

Event 18: Massey Out-Hearted

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 16:  Blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante

The hot streak for James Calderaro continues.

In a hand with Aaron Massey and 36k in the pot, the board showed Th7cAhQs.  Calderaro fired out 15k and Massey went over the top for 41k.  Calderaro decided to call.

After the 9h hit on the river, Calderaro put out a huge bet and Massey decided to make the call.  Calderaro had held in on the flush draw with Jh8h cracking Massey’s AcAs and leaving his set of aces only good enough to throw in the muck.

The hand took almost all of Massey’s grey 5k chips and has him on the short stack with five left.

Event 18: Calderaro Chipping Up

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 16:  Blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante

So far this level has belonged to James Calderaro.  Calderaro has been pulling chips from all over the table to close in on the chip leaders Bradley Young and Aditya Prasetyo.

Aaron Massey and Patrick Peduto are chasing but still incredibly deep even as short stacks.

Five players remain for the Event 18 title as we reach the halfway point of Level 16.

Event 18: Ryan Van Sanford Eliminated in 6th Place ($5,205)

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 16:  Blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante

Ryan Van Sanford just couldn’t catch a break against Aaron Massey.

After Massey clipped Sanford once, he did it again here to open Level 16.

Van Sanford: 4c4d
Massey: 8c8d

For the second time, Massey had the larger pair and his flush draws blocked. And the board went mostly high as it rolled off QcJhAs6cTh to finish a tough night for Van Sanford sending him to the rail in 6th place. Van Sanford takes home $5,205 plus bounties for his efforts.
