Only 30 players were able to make the dinner break bubble and went off to cash their meal comps. Those still alive include “Miami John” Cernuto, Ryan Tepen, Errol Massey, and Brian Gelrod.

They will return in 40 minutes and play eight more levels stopping at 11pm or the final table, whichever comes first.

Players are back from their second break of the day and just 56 players remain from the starting 76.  They are dropping at a quicker pace than expected in a limit game.

Brian Gelrod (West Palm Beach, FL) stopped by to let us know he’s having a good day and he was among the current chipleader at break with 33,500.

West coast resident Robert Campbell (Long Beach, CA) has been enjoying his time on this side of the country and is back in action for Event 2 Omaha 8B. He had a big run during the 2014 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown where all five of his tournament cashes came at a final table.

Campbell won the $250 Pot Limit Omaha 8B event and added a second, third, fourth, and fifth place finish. He kept his good run going into the WSOP this summer when he finished 30th in the Main Event for $230,487.

Campbell is sitting comfortably with 24,000 with 63 players remaining.

Players are off on their first 15-minute break and the tournament clock currently shows 75 players in the field. A fine turnout for the four-card, split pot, limit betting game. Ryan Tepen is one of the recent entries and he’s off to a good start with 17,250 from his starting 10,000.

Players continue to enter the Omaha 8B tournament and the field now includes “Miami John” Cernuto. The three-time WSOP bracelet winner spends most of his time in Las Vegas but has come back to his home town for the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open.

The field has topped 60 players as they enter the second level.

The 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open is wasting no time getting more players in action. Event 2 is underway with a smaller group playing Omaha 8B. The field may be smaller but they love their split pot games.

They will begin with 10,000 in their stacks, play 30 minute levels, and registration is open until the start of Level 5.
