Dani Dayan was one of the 15 new entries at the start of Day 2 and she’s built on her 40,000 starting stack.

She was up to 75,000 and put those in the middle in what turned out to be a three-way monster pot. Dayan was in trouble with against and , only 8% preflop to stay in the game, but she smashed the flop.

Dayan made a boat on the turn and faded the case ace on the river to move up to 255,000.

Julio Fernandez had only two players ahead of him in the Day 2 counts but now he’s up there by himself. While Heitor Saraiva is having a good restart by moving up to 760,000, it is Fernandez going bigger.

A min-cash will bank $1,080 while the Event 3 champion will walk away with $55,191 plus a $1,650 Event 4 seat added to first place.

Day 2 is underway in the poker room and we had 15 new entries jump in before we kicked it off. Two-time WSOP bracelet winner (and five-time WSOP Circuit champ) Loni Harwood was one of those 15 and she drew the seat next to returning chip leader Heitor Saraiva.

The second of three multi-day tournaments on the May Deep Stack Poker Series schedule is ready to play for the title today. Event 3 drew a combined 417 entries over two starting flights with 79 coming back for Day 2.

But both of those numbers will change at the start because registration is open until cards go in the air at noon.

Heitor Saraiva will return with the chip lead and SHRP favorite Larry Klur sits in second with the only other stack over 500,000. Joel Harwood returns in the top ten with other SHRP regulars still around including RRPO Champ Michael Newman, WSOP Circuit winner John DePersio, and double Coco champ Howard Mash.

Also of note, we have three Event 1 final table members making the Day 2 field as well with Daniel Silva, Seth Gilson, and Gabe Sack.

Level switch to 60-minutes long for the start of Day 2 and will stay that way for six levels. They will take a dinner break after Level 21 and levels will go up to 90 minutes from then until the tournament is heads-up.

Action gets back underway at noon and then we will know exactly how high the prize pool reached and the payout information.

Heitor Saraiva began his day by cracking aces and he ended it with the Event 3 chip lead going into Day 2. He put 523,000 in his bag to out chip Larry Klur’s 509,500. That is good enough for the top two spots returning tomorrow at noon.

Also of note; Daniel Silva, Seth Gilson, and Gabe Sack all made it through to Day 2 after making the final table of Event 1. A nice run this week so far.

We had 50 players advance from Flight B and they will join the 29 from Flight A tomorrow afternoon.
