Event 4: First Break

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 3: 75/150

Players in the $1,100 Event 4 are off on their first break of the day and Zac Kessler wasn’t one of them. We have no idea what occurred but he was (vocally) unhappy. As one of his fellow regulars said, “If Zach is mad about something, he’s probably right.”

We will try to find out what happened, here are the top five counts during the break.

Emil Soffer – 41,250
Eliyahu Bohadanah – 35,825
Jie Liu – 31,350
David McDonald – 29,875
Yugul Hen – 29,350

Event 4: Errol Massey vs. Tony Ruberto

The flop read 10s5c4c when Errol Massey (pictured above) bet 1,000 UTG+1 and a player in late position called. Tony Ruberto also called on the big blind and the turn fell 9s.

Massey bet 2,500 and late position folded. Ruberto called and the river delivered the Js. Both players checked and Massey flipped over JdJc. Ruberto folded his hand and he was down to 10,000. Massey stacked up 16,500 after the pot.

Event 4: Slow Going

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50

As expected with the bigger buy-in tournament, players are taking their time with decision and in no hurry to gamble early. Angel Vu let us know two players were sent out at her table, both times with Big Slick versus Aces.

Vu isn’t the only familiar face in Event 4, she is joined by other regulars including Zach Kessler, Errol Massey, Nancy Birnbaum, Bob “Uncle Krunk” Panitch, and Elliott “Comrade” Zaydman.

There are currently 76 players registered as the tournament rolls into the second level of the day.

Event 4: Cards in the Air

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50

The first big buy-in tournament of the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open is underway with the $1,100 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Event 4 with a $100,000 guaranteed prizepool.

Players begin with 12,000 stacks and play one hour levels with late registration/re-entry open until the start of Level 5. They are scheduled to play down to the final table or 3am, whichever comes first.

This field will feature some great talent.
