Registration closed for Showdown Event 7 with a huge turnout of 411 entries. They nearly reached the $50,000 guarantee in black chip bounties alone.

A few notables still in the mix include Mikki Mase, Huicen Qiao, Solange Lucas, Loni Hui, Tony Burns, Michael Chiappetta, and Anthony Askey. Qiao is coming off a nice run across the state; he finished fourth in the Tampa Poker Classic Championship for $62,630.

Most of the Grand Ballroom will be taken up by the big Event 1 restart but we have plenty of action if you are not among them. Or you are and cash out. Starting at noon we have the first of five new trophy events today with a $400 Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty NLH tournament that features a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players start with 20K stacks and all levels last 30 minutes for the one-day tournament. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm. They will take a 45-minute dinner break at 6:30 pm and return to find out next winner.
