David Laka

The $10,000 WPT Finale is getting ready to kick off the second day of action and we’re still waiting on a final count on players in the big freeze-out event. They played eight full levels yesterday but registration will not close until they start back up for Day 2. It drew 332 players yesterday to easily surpass the $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and push it over $3,000,000.

David Laka returns with the chip lead along with Matthew Haugen and Farid Jattin rounding out the list of players over 200,000. Day 1 was rough for the Seminole Hard Rock Poker team members with only Mukul Pahuja and Sheddy Siddiqui making it through, but Darryll Fish and Matt Affleck could be excused for their absence.

Affleck was busy making it down to seventh place in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship with Fish making the live-streamed final table. We’ll see if either jumps in before registration closes if though they were playing into the early morning hours.

Once registration is locked down, we’ll have our final numbers and await the prize pool payout information.

They’ll kick things off for Day 2 at noon and we’ll be here from start to finish.
