Scott Menard continued to be the center of action as he called a short-stacked opponent’s all-in and was in decent shape to get one step closer to a final table appearance here in Event 1.  After the cards were turned over, Menard was in the lead.

But the flop came putting Menard behind. The on the turn was almost insult to the inevitable injury as the hit giving Menard the straight and sending another player to the payout window.
