The second new tournament today has a four-digit buy-in with some nice money due in the end. Event 4 is a $1,100 No Limit Hold’em tournament scheduled to play deep enough to need two days to complete.
Players begin with 12,000 stacks and play 30-minute levels until registration closes after Level 10. At that point they move to 40-minute levels to grind out until they bag up after Level 15.

Event 1 is on its first break of the day with just over 300 players remaining and 250 getting paid. They’ll return in 15 minutes after tournament staff color off the 500 chips.
We’ll return with some notable counts and the leader.

We had the first huge swing in Day 2 with Chris Remmerden jumping into the lead just as Level 16 was coming to a close. We knew something was going down on Table 26, mostly because Jose DelaCruz yelled over to take a look.
He was right. He was also all-in and at risk in a huge pot against Remmerden after a flop. DelaCruz began the day among the chip leaders but Remmerden recently passed him when he cracked aces and kings with queens. He was in line for another big hand with his flopped Broadway superior to Delacruz’ set of queens with .
A cooler for the one-time Day 1 chip leader DelaCurz, and he couldn’t pair the board on the turn or river to send the massive pot to Remmerden. DelaCruz was gone while Remmerden is our new leader with over 750,000.

As predicted, it didn’t take very long for the 12 restart tables in the auxiliary meeting room to break up and was done by the end of the first level of the day.
Just 420 players remaining of the returning 574 as they inch towards the money bubble. Event 1 is paying the last 250 players, so that is their first goal.
$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) Level 15: 1,500/3,000/500 Ante
We haven’t witnessed many bad beats this afternoon with most eliminations finding someone on the losing end of a near race. Michael Newman came close to changing that at Table 31.
He had most of his stack in the middle with against Richard Shtrax’ when the dealer put the right in the window followed by the and . The turn did not help his comeback efforts but the river completed the suck/resuck to send Shtrax out while moving Newman over 185,000.

There were some quick exits out the door in the first 15 minutes with the short stacks taking a stand. Former Seminole Hard Rock Poker champion Robert Campbell began the day as the shortest stack but couldn’t survive past his first hand of the day.
Jessica Dawley also returned with a short stack but was able to double over 50,000 in early action as other tables have their dealers yelling “seat open!”.
Another interesting twist on the restart is the first use of the overflow room across the hall from the ballroom. The huge size of the returning field meant 12 tables worth of players are grinding in a little more relaxed atmosphere. With the quick early pace, we expect them to break before too long.

It’s about time for the entire remaining field of Event 1 to come together as one for the first time. The big kick-off tournament on the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open schedule played out over six starting flights and drew 2,906 entrants to create a very nice $871,800 prize pool.
After 14 levels each flight, 574 players survived to bag up chips to return today for a chance at the money and first place prize worth more than $150,000. Unlike the opening day, they will play 40-minute level throughout and schedule to find the Event 1 champion.
David Hartsman finished Flight 1E with just under 400,000 and will be the leader at the start of Day 2. He’s followed closely by Joel Gossett and Johnny Pham while only the top eight holding over 300,000.
Other notables remaining include Stewart Newman, Sheddy Siddiqui, Jessica Dawley, Ory Hen, Luis Santoni, Dan Buzgon, and Robert Campbell.
Players are unbagging their chips and getting ready to play from 574 to a winner.
$250 Deep Stack Turbo No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) Level 2: 75/150
The clock is moving fast but players are slowly taking their time getting in the game. Chip stacks are waiting for several players as the levels clip past 15 minutes at a time.
There are 67 entrants as time runs out on Level 2 including three-time WSOP Circuit winner Nancy Birbaum along with past Seminole Lucky Hearts Poker Open champs Eric Piderit and Bruce McGregor.
$250 Deep Stack Turbo No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) Level 1: 50/100
Sunday afternoon is a good time for a nice prize pool, fast-paced tournament for those needing to get in a game but don’t want to be here until the early morning hours for a win.
While most of the ballroom will be taken up by the restart of Event 1, the newest tournament on the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open schedule will be playing out in another section. Event 3 is a $250 buy-in Deep Stack Turbo No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool, balancing the big chips against the action-inducing structure.
Players begin with 20,000 stacks and play 15-minute levels throughout the day. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 15 around 4PM this afternoon. This is a one-day event and will wrap up in the evening hours.
Players are taking their seats and cards will be in the air shortly.
