Paul Balzano

The $1,100 Deep Stack tournament created a final table worthy of a Championship lineup and it is led by Paul Balzano coming back for Day 2.

But he faces some tough competition that includes former WPT RRPO champ Milen Stefanov, WPTDeepStacks Hollywood winner Scott Baumstein, and reigning GPI Female Player of the Year Nadya Magnus.

The final table gets underway at 1 pm and we will keep one eye on them along the way.

On the day’s first hand, action folded to Nicholas Verderamo in middle position and he moved all in for 1,000,000. Dung Nguyen moved all in over the top for 2,750,000 from the hijack and the rest of the table folded.

Verderamo ran his pair of fours into a bigger pair and was drawing thin to stay in the Championship. The board ran out Ah5s2c2sAd, he picked up a wheel draw on the flop, but blanked to go out early on Day 4.

Andrew Wilson leads Day 4 of the RRPO Championship

The 2022 WPT RRPO Championship began with 1,541 entries and is down to the last 16 players with a shot at the title. Andrew Wilson leads the return with some dangerous players behind him, including three-time WPT champ Brian Altman and defending champ Gediminas Uselis.

Today they will continue playing down until only six players remain top battle on the WPT live stream final table tomorrow afternoon.

It’s become a tradition in every major series; throw one last big ticket tournament on the last open day of the series. This time around it’s a one-day $5K one-day tournament with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and it gets underway at noon.

Players start with 20K deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes from start to finish. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as needed during that time. They’ll take off for a 40-minute dinner break at 6:30 pm then come back to the Grand Ballroom and play down to our Event 42 champ.

It’s out last day in the Grand Ballroom for the series (the Championship final table will play in the Meeting Room) and we have our second of two Seniors Events set to kick off at 10 am with a $400 buy-in.

Players start with 20K deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes in the one-day tournament. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 2:30 pm. They have a Seniors-friendly dinner break at 4:30 pm and return to find our champion.
