Dominique Mosley

Flight C of the Main Event is down to the final three levels of the evening with 63 players still around trying to bag a stack for tomorrow.

Dominique Mosley has been working his stack in the back corner and trying to reach another final table in this event. He came in second place during the May Deep Stack Poker Series Main Event in 2014 for a nice $80,000 payday. More recently, Mosley won the WSOP Circuit High Roller event in Coconut Creek over a very tough final table.

Evan Teitelbaum

The poker room continues to be a hotbed of activity and the back of the room is playing down Flight C of the Main Event. There are eight tables remaining but it will drop about half of that before they bag.

SHRP champ Evan Teitelbaum is still here and, according to the rest of the table, caught a big hand earlier with the nine-deuce off flopping a boat then getting paid.

The poker room is packed, every table is in action, and George Lopez is next door in the Hard Rock Event Center. That makes for a busy day in the poker.

We reached 146 entries for Flight C after the dinner break to push the Deep Stack Poker Series Main Event prize pool over $500,000 with time to join the action. Late registration is open all evening and will close tomorrow at noon when Day 2 gets underway.

Event 5: Turbo Saturday

$10,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 1: 100/100

We have a little something on the schedule for those already owning Main Event stacks for tomorrow’s Day 2 restart. Or for those who like their tournaments with a faster structure.

Event 5 is a $150 buy-in tournament with a turbo structure and a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool. The tournament will move along at a nice clip and award a Deep Stack Poker Series trophy before the night is through.

Players start out with 20,000 stacks and all levels will last 15 minutes. Late registration is open till the start of Level 13 at 9:25pm with unlimited re-entries available during that time. Once registration is closed, they will quickly play down to the final table and eventual winner.

They will get underway at 6pm and we will give you the highlights along the way.

  • $10,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
  • Players begin with 20,000 in chips and 15-minute levels
  • Late registration available until start of Level 13
  • Single ante will be paid from the big blind for the entire table

Rex Clinkscales

Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler took his seat earlier in the day and Rex Clinkscales showed up a few levels later. He was happy to see his table draw.

“I get Allen’s table,” he laughed.

Since then, the two friends have been exchanging friendly needles with an innocent bystander in the middle. It’s mostly going in one direction.

Clinkscales has tournament wins all around the world including Canada, Bahamas, and Belgium along with right here in the States. His biggest cash came last summer when he won the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa WPTDeepStack Main Event.

Event 4 Flight C: Raveesh Asnani Ahead at Second Break

Raveesh Asnani

The second break is complete and we have a new leader. Brian Powell blasted his stack north right before the break but he’s still a few chips behind Raveesh Asnani. He returned to 168,000 out front to put him in the lead.

They will grind out three more levels before taking a 40-minute dinner break.
