On a flop of 9h6c3s, Tim James bets and Sam Panzica moved all in. James called and the cards were tabled.

James showed 9d6d, good for top two pair, and was in the lead against Panzica’s Ad3c.

Panzica needed a nine or a three to stay alive, but the Th on the turn and the Jd on the river sent the pot to James and eliminate Panzica. James dragged the pot and moved into the money.

He will come back tomorrow to play in the fourth round and is guaranteed a cash of at least $4,800.

On the turn with the board reading Kc9c3sTd, Gary Bolden checked and Corey Dodd bet 1,800. Bolden quickly check-raised enough to put Dodd all in and Dodd called.

Dodd was all in for 7,125 and showed 3h3c. Bolden got out of his chairs and signaled to his friends that he was on the wrong side of a cold deck with his Kh9d.

Bolden needed a king or a nine to eliminate Dodd and move to the next round, but the Qs came on the river and Dodd doubled up. Dodd took the chip lead with the series tied at one game a piece.

With blinds of 200/400, Alex Foxen raised to 800 on the button and Kane Kalas moved all in out of the big blind. Foxen quickly called and was at risk for his last 8,425.

Foxen was in the lead with his AhJh against Kalas’ Kh8h.

The board ran out 9h7s3s6c6d and Foxen doubled up with ace-high. He regained the chip lead  the chip lead and already had a 1-0 lead in the series.

A few hands later, Kalas was getting up from his seat and exiting the tournament area. Foxen swept the series and moved on to the next round and in the money.
