Moving day at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown saw Jacob Bazeley (Cincinnati, OH) go from 15 bb to the chip lead as 18 players remain in the hunt for the $1,081,184 top prize.

Bazeley finished with nearly 8.1 million chips (161 bb) and is ahead of Chance Kornuth who was a big stack most of the day.

“It just means I have a lot of maneuverability,” said Bazeley about his chip lead. “I can pick my spots and be aggressive or lay back depending on what the table does.”

Bazeley began with 182k and doubled-up on his first hand of the day with pocket Queens and he trended upwards the rest of the day.

Day 2 began with 114 players who were already in the money as the field played down to the final two tables.  The most impressive run came from actress Sasha Barrese who finished 22nd for $25,372.

“I’m actually relieved it’s over,” said Barrese who appeared in “The Hangover” and is expecting twins in August, “because it’s so exhausting.”

After sealing his bag Kornuth echoed the sentiment and simply said, “exhausted.”

WPT Player of the Year points leader Mukul Pahuja (5th) is still in the hunt with a top 5 stack as is Day 1 chip leader Justin Young (4th).  Others looking for a piece of the $5.76 million prize pool includes WPT Champion Jeff Gross, Matt Glantz and Matt Stout, to name a few.

Play resumes 12 pm Tuesday and the field will play down to the TV final table of six.
