Championship: Cherish Andrews Survives Her Small Blind With a Double Up

$3,500 LHPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Prizepool: $3,718,400  |  Payouts  |  Results
Level 23:  20,000/40,000 with a 40,000 ante
Players Remaining:  40 of 1,162

After treducupling up to 65,000, Cherish Andrews found herself forced all in from the big blind, and since Seminole Hard Rock is a “big blind first” property, Andrews put 25,000 in for the ante and 40,000 out for her big blind.

Action folded around to Christian Roberts in the small blind, and he called with 7d4h.

Andrews turned over 10d4s — almost identical to her previous hand — and was actually ahead, needing it to hold to stay alive.

The board came KdJdJc2dQs, and Andrews won the pot with her ten to double up in chips. Andrews now had enough chips to fold until her next small blind if she wanted to.

Cherish Andrews  –  105,000  (3 bb)
Christian Roberts  –  2,675,000  (67 bb)

With 40 players remaining from a field of 1,162, the average chip stack is around 1,455,000 (36 big blinds). The remaining players are guaranteed at least $16,300 each.

There will be a redraw when the field gets down to the final three tables (24 players), and at that point, blind levels will increase to 90 minutes. Action is scheduled to continue tonight until there are seven players remaining for tomorrow’s live-streamed final table.
