Eric Afriat

We can always expect to find Eric Afriat in our big fields when Championship time rolls around and a favorite to run deep in this tournament specifically.

Afriat won his first WPT championship during the 2014 Poker Showdown, which turned out to be the biggest field on the tour. He had a chance to make history in 2019 when he made the Poker Showdown final table once again; no player at that point had captured the same title twice. But Afriat fell one spot short to James Carroll in Las Vegas after a great run.

Brian Altman is also with us today and he was able to finish off that double win feat but in a different series. He won the 2015 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship then followed that up with a victory in the 2019 version of the Championship.
