Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

We missed how Alex Foxen had been knocked down to less than a big blind, but he got them all in under the gun with Kd6c, needing to improve to stay alive against the 7h7c of David “ODB” Baker in the big blind.

The board came Kc9s2h9d6s, and Foxen won the pot to reach nearly 2 big blinds.

Alex Foxen  –  1,100  (2 bb)
David “ODB” Baker  –  40,000  (67 bb)

The next hand, Foxen was forced all in, putting 600 in as the big blind ante, and 500 out for the big blind. The UTG+1 player raised to 1,400, Dirk Perdrix called from middle position, and Baker called from the small blind.

There was 2,600 in the main pot, and another 2,700 in the side pot. Any additional betting would go into the side pot.

The flop came 6d5d4h, and it checked to Perdrix, who bet 3,400. Baker called, and the UTG+1 player folded.

The turn card paired the board with the 5h, and both players checked.

The river card was the 3d, and they checked again. All three players turned over their cards:

Perdrix:  8d8c  (two pair, eights and fives)
Baker:  9c6c  (two pair, sixes and fives)
Foxen:  As6s  (two pair, sixes and fives)

Perdrix won the entire pot, eliminating Foxen. (Though it looks like Foxen is taking advantage of the single re-entry option.)

Dirk Perdrix  –  96,000  (160 bb)
David Baker  –  35,000  (58 bb)
Alex Foxen  –  Eliminated

The Day 1B field is up to 440 entries, which means the total field is up to 983, and the prizepool is worth more than $4.76 million, crushing the $3 million guarantee. Registration remains open until the beginning of Level 9, around 9:15 pm, and players are allowed one entry and one re-entry per starting flight.

There will be a 90-minute dinner break after Level 6, around 5:30 pm, and action will continue tonight until the end of Level 10, around 11:15 pm.
