In the second and final flight, there weren’t many players that broke into the top few chip counts of the 2017 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open Championship event, but the one the did bagged up the overall chip lead.

Michael Wang finished the day with 244,300 in chips, which paced the 124 survivors and will take the overall chip lead into Day 2. The other stacks atop the Day 1B counts are full of familiar faces at the Hard Rock.

David Inselberg (188,400), Mark Dube (185,400), Ory Hen (178,400) and Dani Dayan (177,100) round out the top five Day 1B counts. The field was filled with top pros and most made it through the day.

Iaron Lightbourne (164,600), Barry Hutter (148,600), SHRP Team Member Jared Jaffee (141,400), Jean Gaspard (134,600), Ari Engel (121,100), SHRP Team Member Sheddy Siddiqui (114,600), Neil Patel (109,700), Shaun Deeb (106,700) and David Peters (102,300) were just a few of the top pros that survived the day.

When registration closed, there were officially 312 entries in Day 1B, which brought the overall field size to 585 entries. There is a $2 million dollar prize pool and the top 79 spots will get paid. A min-cash is worth $4,900 and the eventual winner will earn $374,240 and a Hard Rock trophy.

There were 91 survivors from Day 1A and they will join the 124 players that made it through today’s field. The 215-player Day 2 field is expected to make the money in the second half of the day.

They will play another 10, 60-minute levels before bagging up chips for the night and coming back on Monday for Day 3. Complete chip counts and seat assignments will be posted shortly.
