Players Remaining: 847 of 2,482

The 2021 WPT Poker Showdown Championship set a bunch of new records over the weekend with two special ones; this is now the biggest tournament field in WPT Main Tour history and also the biggest Championship/Main Event field since SHR Hollywood began running tournaments.

The 2,482 entries combined to blast the $2,000,000 guarantee and they have just under $8 million up for grabs. We have 847 players returning for Day 2 at noon and they will try to make a move to set u a deep run.

Brian Goble’s 503,000 is good enough to give him the Day 2 lead at the start with Joshua Mountain (414,000), 2013 SHRPO champ Blair Hinkle (413,000), poker pro Alex Keating (395,500), and Gavin Munroe (389,500) rounding out the top five.

Other notable big stacks include Vanessa Kade, Scott Stewart, Jason Wandling, Aaron Massey, Sam Panzica, and Tony Dunst.

There are two former Poker Showdown Champions still in the mix and they were the last two players standing in this event the last time it ran. 2019 Poker Showdown winner James Carroll returns with 200,000 while runner-up that year (2014 Showdown champ) Eric Afriat has 183,500.

Cards go in the air at noon and they are scheduled to play another 10 one-hour levels with a 90-minute dinner break following Level 16.

PLEASE NOTE: Some tables will restart in the poker room. If your table has PR in front of the number, please report to the poker room for the restart.
