The second and final starting day of the $3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown main event wrapped up after 10 levels of play with two-time WPT Champion Eric Afriat bagging up the chip lead.
Afriat bagged up 222,500 and will start Day 2 fifth overall. Everybody will still be chasing Uri Kadosh, who bagged up 245,500 on Day 1A.
Other notables that made it through the day include Blair Hinkle (154,400), Aaron Mermelstein (162,500), Larry Wright (130,000), Natasha Mercier (113,100), Jessica Dawley (113,000), Loni Harwood (87,200), Brian Altman (87,000), Jesse Sylvia (80,000), Ari Engel (71,700), Michael Tureniec (72,700), TK Miles (63,600), Nick Palma (62,800), Kevin Eyster (42,300) and Darren Elias (28,900).
When registration closed at the start of level 9, there were 646 entries to bring the overall field size to 1,309 and generate a prize pool of $4,188,800. The top 164 players will finish in the money with a min-cash of $5,860 and a top prize of $696,740.
With 253 players surviving Saturday’s action and 227 making it through Day 1A, Day 2 will bring 480 players back to blinds of 600/1,200 with a 200 ante.
They will play another 10, 60-minute levels and Cards get back in the air on Sunday at noon.
