Jake Bazeley Champion with friends
Jake Bazeley returns as the RRPO defending champion

Nine prelims are in the books and the Thanksgiving holiday break is complete. Now it’s time to get down to the business of finding our next Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Champion.

This is the sixth year of the series and the Championship continues to grow. We have placed the Champion crown on the head of some great players with Chris Bolek, Matt Waxman, Victor Figueroa, and Farhan Madhani taking the honors. This is the third year the Championship runs with a $3,500 buy-in and last year Jake Bazeley joined that stellar group of players.

2011: Farhan Madhani
2012: Victor Figueroa
2013: Matthew Waxman
2014: Chris Bolek
2015: Jake Bazeley

We don’t know who will be the next Champion but they will be in our crowd of players over the two starting flights starting a noon today.

Those flights will play out today and tomorrow with the survivors returning on Sunday for Day2. Each entrant will sit down to a 30,000 starting stack and levels will last 60-minutes for Day 1 and 2. Late registration is open for the starting flights until the start of Level 7 after the dinner break, approximately 8pm this evening, and unlimited re-entries are available during that time.

They are scheduled to play ten full levels in each starting flight and those with chips will return on Day 2 for another ten levels. It will be a busy day in the ballroom and we’ll be here updating all the action.
