Jakub Paulik was the chipleader at the break with 1,015,000 (169 big blinds), but he has had a very rough level since then.

First, he lost a pot to Darren Elias on his immediate left. We didn’t catch the details, but that knocked Paulik down to about 735,000.

Jakub Paulik  –  735,000  (123 bb)

Not long after that, he was playing a hand against Stewart Chantler over a board of QsJhJd3d10h.

There was about 185,000 in the pot on the river when they got it all in, with Chantler (UTG) all in for 395,000 against Paulik in the hijack.

Paulik turned over 10d9d for two pair, jacks and tens — he missed his flush draw and his open-ended straight draw.

Chantler turned over KdJs to win the pot with trip jacks, doubling up to about 975,000 in chips.

With about 225 players remaining from a field of 1,541, the average chip stack is around 342,000 (57 big blinds). The final 193 players will finish in the money, guaranteed at least $5,600 each.

There will be a 90-minute dinner break after Level 16 (around 6:30-6:45 pm, depending on the Money Bubble), and action will continue tonight until the end of Level 20, around 11:30 pm.
