We have a very special charity tournament starting at 7 pm, honoring a special person. Mr. Frank was key in building the current poker environment we enjoy in South Florida, in the background directing our biggest moves forward.
Larry Frank was a member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Before he passed in 2021, he worked for Seminole Gaming and Seminole Hard Rock Support Services for more than 25 years in various roles, including General Manager of Poker Operations at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and General Manager of Seminole Casino Classic.
Today we honor him with a charity tournament benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We have a cocktail party in Salon East starting at 5:30 pm and the $300 buy-in tournament will get underway at 7 pm with late registration available until 9:15 pm. In addition to the prize pool money, the winner will receive $5,000 in cash plus a $3,500 seat in the WPT Poker Showdown Championship.
All net proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida. Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Research shows a wish can give kids
the strength to fight against and even overcome a critical illness.
