Day 1A of the WPT Poker Showdown Championship drew 970 entries, surpassing the $3 million guarantee with an entire second starting flight to go. There were 300 players who survived, securing seats for Day 2 on Sunday at Noon.

Christian Harder leads the way after Day 1A, bagging an impressive stack of 605,500. A double elimination in the last half hour of the night propelled him to the top.
