Day 1A at Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Comes to a Close

Play has come to a close on Day 1A at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open and the tournament clock shows that 207 players have survived from the 634 that entered on Thursday. They will return for Day 2 on Sunday, August 25.

Notables that made it through Day 1A include Shannon Elizabeth, Shannon Shorr, Will Failla, Noah Schwartz, Erick Lindgren, John Hennigan, Andrew Lichtenberger, and Irv Gotti, who bagged up one of the largest chip stacks in the room with 236,700. Some big names to bust today included Tony Dunst, Lauren Kling, Justin Young, Shaun Deeb, Matt Salsberg, Jake Cody, David Sands, and rapper Nelly. The overnight chip leader is Aaron Schaaf with 326,600.

Play will resume on Friday at noon ET for Day 1B and any players who busted today can re-enter tomorrow as long as registration is open until the end of the dinner break (8 pm).
