Dejan Petkovic Eliminated by Nicholas Nieto on the Bubble

$350 Deep Stack ($150,000 Guaranteed + $3,500 Seat Added)
Level 19: 4,000/8,000/1,000
Players Remaining: 50/485

Following eight rounds of hand-for-hand play, a few doubles ups and a triple up, the bubble finally burst.

There was a raise in middle position and two callers. Action was on Dejan Petkovic — who began the day second in the counts — and he shoved for 146,000. Mark Dube folded the small blind sending it to Nicholas Nieto in the big blind. Nieto re-shoved for about 260,000 and the remaining players in the hand folded. Petkovic was at risk, but held the edge in the hand.

Petkovic: AhKd
Nieto: AcQc

The 8c3c2d flop wasn’t what Petkovic hoped for as it gave Nieto the nut flush draw. That flush came through when the turn fell the 7c. The river was the 2c.

“Does he have a flush?” Petkovic asked in disbelief.

Indeed, Nieto improved to an unlikely flush and Petkovic was left bust after beginning the day second in the counts. He hit the rail 51st sending the remaining 50 players into the money.
