Phil Consolo

It was a race and Consolo needed his fives to hold but there was a queen right in the window of the QhJs4c flop. Neither the 2s turn nor the Ts river was any help to Consolo, and he was eliminated on the money bubble.

Nathaniel: QdQd

“Don’t get mad when an eight comes David!” Benjamin joked with Nathaniel.

Griffin paired his jack on the Jc7c5h to improve his odds a little, Benjamin picked up a double-belly buster draw on the 9h turn, but both blanked the Kh river.

A lot of that is due to more than a few busting from the $1,700 Deepest Stack and rolling right to the other set of tables.

The field is quickly down to five tables with 45 players remaining but still some work ahead to reach the money bubble.

Two players we noticed having a good day; Johnny Bromberg and James Calderaro. After starting the day with 174K, Bromberg is just shy of 600,000 after little more than an hour of action.

Calderaro started his day with exactly 50,000 as one of our 13 max late reg players. He survived his initial confrontations and sitting with more than a double stack.
