Registration is closed in Flight G and the final attendance figure is confirmed to be 157. That brings the seven-flight total to 752 — just 82 short of besting the $100,000 guarantee. That feat is all but guaranteed to be accomplished in Flight H (which is underway now) and we’ll provide another update at that juncture.

It matches the schedule of play of its predecessors and is all but assured to surge the combined field up over 834 entries and officially best the $100,000 guarantee. If that’s the case, tonight’s Flight I will simply be icing on the prize pool cake.

With late registration available until 3:30 p.m. in this flight, and the 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. flights still to come, the field stands at 595 entries with 58 having punched their ticket to Day 2.

Flight F of the Escalator Series opener has come to an end with the clock showing 15 players. Action began this evening at 7 p.m. with 125 entries enduring almost eight hours of play. Our current total of players coming back to Day 2 now sits at 58.

Perry Shiao, pictured above, bagged 168,000 to lead the way in Flight F. Perry looks to continue his success in 2016 with a deep run here in Event #1.  He will have a tough competition on Saturday though, including Ira Schwartz who is still our overall chip leader from Flight B. Chip counts through Flight F will be posted in the morning around 9 a.m.

Level 9 is underway and the numbers are in!!! Tonight’s 7 p.m. flight drew 125 entries, the first flight to see triple digit turnout thru 6 flights. This brings our total amount of entries to 595 thru Flight F. Tonight’s clock currently shows 44 remaining and they’ll log about three more hours of play before the remaining players bag and tag. Day 2 play will resume Saturday at 2 p.m.

Carlos looks to follow up his 5-figure first place finish from January’s Lucky Hearts Event #8.  He will have a tough field to battle on Saturday, including Ira Schwartz who is still our overall chip leader. The clock currently shows 27 remaining and they’ll log about three more hours of play before the remaining players bag and tag. Day 2 play will resume Saturday at 2 p.m.
