Brian Hastings began the day third in the counts but skidded during the early stages of the restart. Down to just about 15 big blinds, he doubled holding on a runout. Hastings scooped the pot and grew his stack to 160,000.

After beginning the restart with 163,500 and 140,000 chips respectively, Andrew Gordon and Brian Landesman have put a hurt on Day 2. With the three levels in the books and the first break wrapped, Gordon has a stack of 510,000 while Landesman enjoys about 450,000.
Level 18 is underway with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and a 1,000 ante. The clock shows only 116 players left with 110 making money.

South Florida’s Sean Shah recently put his last 91,500 in the middle preflop following an opponent’s open to 10,000. The opener folded and Shah chipped up without contest.
The pot grew his stack to 112,000 and he lived to fight another day with the bubble only a few tables away.
