Brian Gelrod began his day near the bottom of the counts, returning to only 32,500 after starting the tournament with a 20,000 stack. But now he’s deep into the money and getting more chips.

He open-shoved for 101,000 from the cutoff and found a call in the small blind. Gelrod’s was in good shape against and stayed that way on the run out.

In other stack news, the lead switched one more time and it looks like Jay Romano is now on top with 1,460,000 followed by Tom Nguyen’s 1,335,000. Raman Afanasenka continues to climb and sits with 1,200,000.
