Day 2 of the $580 World Series of Poker Circuit opener is here and cards are in the air at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. From a starting field of 1,612, just 218 remain with the top 171 scooping a payday. Out in front of the field as the only player claiming over 300,000 chips is Luiz De Farias Guimaraes. Guimaraes sits on a solid stack of 319,600 edging out second place Manny Minaya’s 270,100 by a margin. Coming in third to start the day is Vytautas Semaska with 247,200.

There’s a strong local contingency in the game as well. Seminole Hard Rock Poker team members Jessica Dawley and Stewart Newman, Abbey Daniels, Daren Stabinski, Charlemagne Benjamin, Ory Hen, Nancy Birnbaum and Michael Newman are all still going and eying Circuit gold.
