We’re ready to close out the first weekend of the 2018 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open with a big field returning for Day 2 of Event 1. The $1,000,000 Guarantee tournament drew more than 3,000 entries to push the prize pool over $1,500,000 by the time registration closed.

There are still 477 players around with a shot at the title and the $263,000 first place payout.

They are led by two-time WSOP Circuit champ Spencer Champlin with former LHPO winner Jay Romano not far behind. Double WSOP bracelet winner Dan Heimiller rounds out the players with more than 400,000 at the restart but there are a lot of talented players trying to chase them from behind.

All 477 players will return this afternoon at 1pm to begin the process of playing it down towards the title. The first milestone will be making the money portion of the tournament. The last 300 players will take home a piece of the prize pool and we will get there after the first break.

Then they will continue down deeper with an eye towards the big final table with the six-digit payouts in view.

The chip bags are out on the tables, the dealers are ready, and the players are making their way to their seats. We will be underway shortly and tracking our next big champion.
