With the clock paused, tournament staff were set to run two minutes off for each hand played on the bubble. On the first, Chris Nomikos opened to 16,000 from under the gun and the cutoff player moved all in for 41,000.

The button and blinds released and Nomikos quickly called. Then they had to wait until the other 30+ tables to complete their action. There turned out to be three all-ins called on the first hand for a lot of action.

Nomikos tabled his monster and was dominating . The board ran and his aces held to send one out in 302nd.

We had one small double up on the second with three-way action on the third. Lou Stadler was all in against Herbert Baker and another opponent. His flopped top/top but it was no good against Baker’s turned set on the board.

That sent the SHRP favorite out on the bubble and the rest of the field was set to make some money.
