Event 1 Flight C: Scott Baumstein Eliminated to Burst the Money Bubble

$400 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 16:  3,000/5,000 with a 5,000 ante
Flight C Players Remaining:  69 of 548

When hand-for-hand play began on the Money Bubble with 70 players left in the field, Scott Baumstein was down to just 2,000 in chips, and he’d be forced all in from the big blind in the third hand.

The first two hands passed without any all-in-and-call situations. At that point, Level 15 came to an end, and Level 16 began with increased blinds of 3,000-5,000 with a 5,000 ante.

In Hand #3, Baumstein was forced all in with his final 2,000 going in as the big blind ante. Three other players limped into the pot for 5,000 each — the hijack, the cutoff, and the small blind.

All three players check to the river on a board of Qd10c5s8c2s, and they wait until action completes at the other tables before revealing their cards.

Small Blind:  Qh8h  (two pair)
Hijack:  Jc10h  (pair of tens)
Cutoff:  Ad5h  (pair of fives)
Scott Baumstein:  Ks6d  (king high)

The small blind won the pot with two pair, queens and eights, to eliminate Baumstein and burst the Money Bubble.

Scott Baumstein  –  Eliminated

The remaining 69 players are bagging and tagging their chips for Day 2, which begins Sunday at 1:00 pm.

Flight 1D is already underway, with registration open until 10:30 pm.
