In the previous starting flights, the first break chip leader was usually pretty evident with a 4x starting stack and cruising along. The expanded field today put more chips in play and we found three players with more than 100,000 in their stacks are two hours.

The biggest of them belongs to Prashray Rai in the meeting room. His 135,000 is far ahead of most of the field with Nikolaos Costerelis and Peter Ajello joining his as the only other players in six-digit territory.

As a hypothetical, if Rai does nothing other than tread water the rest of the way for the next ten levels, his stack would still be over average and that 135,000 would be good for 45 big blinds restarting tomorrow. But we don’t think he’s going to sit back and sit on his lead.
