Jami Kopacz

Local player Jami Kopacz has had a strong last couple of levels and has emerged as one of the bigger stacks remaining as the field inches closer to a final table.

In a previous pot, he rivered a full house against trip eights to double up to around 3 million.

In a more recent pot, the player under the gun raised to 120,000. Kopacz called on the button and the player in the big blind three-bet to 295,000. The original raiser folded and Kopacz called.

The flop was 5s5h3h and the big blind bet 255,000. Kopacz called. The turn was the Ts and the big blind bet again, this time 375,000. Kopacz called.

“What do you have?” asked the big blind.

Kopacz didn’t respond to the question and the river was the Ks. The big blind checked and Kopacz bet 500,000. The big blind snap-called.

“Quads, baby,” said Kopacz, tabling 5c5d.

The big blind mucked his hand and the local grinder is among the biggest stacks in the room just before the level ended and the remaining players take a break.
