The last hand of the level was playing out even as the three remaining players rolled into the break. Then took a few minutes away from the break as well.

Jon Borenstein raised to 1 million from the small blind and James Salmon called to see the 7s6d2d flop. They both checked and Borenstein fired 1.1 million after the Ad turn. Salmon spite-called and Borenstein bet another 2.7 million when the river came Th.

Salmon went into deep thoughts and it looked like he was going to call quickly. Then he sat back and really took his time, finally giving Borenstein permission to call the clock. Salmon’s time was counted down and he finally called with queen-high Qh3d.

And it was good.

Borenstein had promised to show no matter what and he tabled Jc5s.
