Chip leaders Scott Menard and Gaston Miculitzki were 1-2 in the chip counts but Table 5 has turned out to be a major speed bump in their chase to the championship.
Miculitzki dropped about 500,000 and Scott Menard ran into Ory Hen – a event winner at the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock N’ Roll” Poker Open
On a board of , Menard fired out a bet of 130,000 only to have Hen go over the top for 450,000. After a short time in the tank, Menard laid it down. Hen asked if Menard wanted to see it and then showed J-10 for two pair. Hen and Menard have now started chatting and it appears this will be the table to watch for a while in Event 1.
60 players remain with a minimum payout of $2,250 for the remainder of the field.
