Herbert Baker

The first event on the 2018 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown schedule opened the action in the new Event Center and it had a huge turnout. The six starting flights combined to put more than 3,000 entries into the field to crush the $1 Million Guarantee.

Our players ran that number way up and created a prize pool worth more than $1.5 million.

Of those 3,030 starters, only 574 players made it through their starting flight to put chips in a bag for a return this afternoon. Herbert Baker finished Flight C with 453,000 and that was good enough for the overall chip lead. No one was able to catch him in the last three flights and now they are chasing him on Day 2.

Others players returning include David Prociak, Ari Engel, Stewart Patterson, Tristan Wade, Jake Bazeley, Sheddy Siddiqui, Nick Palma, and Victor Figueroa are a few in the talented Day 2 field.

Cards go back in the air at 1 pm and the first order of business is getting into the money. Only 300 will get paid so it will take a bit to get there this afternoon. They’ll begin making their way towards the final table from that point forward until we have a champion.

It will be a busy day in the Event Center and we look forward to paying a lot of big prizes.
