After six starting flights, today the entire Event 1 field will be in the same room for the first time. The big opening tournament drew 2,692 entrants to create a prize pool worth $807,600. There are 517 players left with a chance to earn more than $140,000 if they can outlast the rest. Only 250 of them will get a piece of that prize pool and we should hit the money bubble after the first break.
Edward Novak will start the day with the chip lead after putting 350,000 in his bag late last night. Ruddy Diaz was the only other player to finish with more than 300,000 but 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Player of the Contender Timothy “TK” Miles sits right behind them in third position.
There are some other top names still in contention including Seminole Hard Rock team members Sheddy Siddiqui and Michael Laake plus WSOP National Champions Ryan Eriquezzo and Loni Harwood.
