Event 10 Day 1E: Royal Flush

$300 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack

Blinds: 300/600 Ante 75

There are 135 players remaining out of the 256 that started – almost half the field gone as we have just started Level 8. Dan Suied stopped me to tell me about a hand he played. With the flop showing KdTh9h, Suied and his opponent got it all in. Dan held AdQdand his opponent 9d9c for a flopped set. The turn was the Td giving Dan’s opponent a full house and leaving Suied drawing to one out for a Royal Flush. Dan’s opponent said to the dealer “Jack of Diamonds” – perhaps rooting for the one outer? Be careful what you ask for, especially in poker. The one outer, Jd, came to give Suied the granddaddy of all hands. Suied took a picture of the improbable hand. Of course in grand style Dan said he gave all the chips he won in the hand away.
