Defending Champ, Ruslan Dykshteyn

The preliminary tournaments are wrapped up and it’s time to kick off The Big 4 events of the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. Four tournaments with $6.5 million in guaranteed prize pools starting off with the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em event.

The first tournament has a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool that drew 828 entries last year. SHRP regular Ruslan Dykshteyn conquered a tough final table that included Phil Hui, Aaron Massey, Marsha Wolak, and Daniel Buzgon. He earned more than $150,000 for the title and he’ll be back today to defend.

Players sit down to 15,000 starting stacks and play 30-minute levels throughout the day. Late registration is open until the start of Level 12 at 5:30 p.m. with unlimited re-entries available during that time. The tournament will continue until only nine players remain and they will return on Tuesday to play on The Big 4 live-stream final table that will also be recorded for TV broadcast by Poker Night in America.

They’ll put cards in the air at 11am and we’ll follow all the action until they form up the final table.
